Visiting

Day 1— Iconic Golden Circle Sights
Day 1— Iconic Golden Circle Sights

After morning pickup in Reykjavík, your journey begins with Iceland’s classic route: the Golden Circle. First stop is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO site where Iceland’s first parliament was founded. It’s also where two tectonic plates are slowly drifting apart, creating dramatic cracks in the landscape. Here, you can literally stand between continents!

Next up, the Geysir geothermal area. Feel the ground rumble as Strokkur erupts every few minutes, sending hot water 20 meters (65 feet) into the air – it’s a natural show you can’t miss. From there, we visit Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls. Watch as the water plunges into a deep canyon—often with a rainbow stretched across the mist on sunny days.

We’ll also stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you can walk behind the curtain of water in summer. The day wraps up in the South Coast village of Vík, surrounded by wild landscapes and views of Mount Hekla (weather permitting).

If you’re traveling between September and April, keep an eye on the sky—tonight might bring your first glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Day 2— Jökulsárlón Lagoon, Glacier Hiking, and Ice Cave

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we’ll pack our sense of adventure and travel along the South Coast to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. It’s filled with floating icebergs of all shapes and sizes, making you feel small in their majestic presence. We’ll stroll along the magnificent black-sand Diamond Beach, dotted with big pieces of ice washed to the shore. They shine like glass as the sun hits their smooth surface.

From Jökulsárlón, we head toward Skaftafell Nature Reserve, right beneath Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier. From October to April, you’ll join our certified glacier guide for a hike on the ice, leading to a natural ice cave you can enter and explore. The colors, textures, and stillness inside are something else. In summer, we visit Katla ice cave—a surreal chamber hidden beneath a volcanic glacier. Your guide will take you into the heart of the ice, sharing stories of how these incredible formations came to be.

We’ll spend the night at Adventure Hotel Geirland, a cozy base surrounded by nature. From September to April, once the skies go dark, there’s always a chance the Northern Lights will steal the show.

Day 3—Highlights of the South Coast
Day 3—Highlights of the South Coast

Well-rested and ready to discover more wonders, we’ll make our way to Iceland’s most beautiful Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. This magical place features a serpentine-like shape and moss-covered cliffs rising above the Jökulsá river, which twists through the gorge like a snake.

Next, we’ll visit the legendary Reynisfjara black-sand beach, but before that, we’ll stop at the mossy Eldhraun lava field to experience the island’s volcanic past. The powerful waves at Reynisfjara crash against the towering basalt columns, creating a mysterious atmosphere. Your guide will share the legends and tales about the Norse mythology creatures related to this place.

Our journey will then continue to Skógafoss, a 60-meter (197 feet) tall and 25-meter (82 feet) wide waterfall featuring breathtaking views of the Eyjafjallajökull stratovolcano in the distance. If the weather allows, you’ll see its white ice cap in full beauty. In the evening, we’ll return to Reykjavik to rest and unwind after an adventure-packed day.

Guided minibus tour of South Iceland

Today’s journey takes you deep into Iceland’s second-largest glacier—Langjökull. You’ll hop aboard a specially modified 8-wheel monster truck and head across the ice to reach the world’s largest man-made ice tunnel. Once inside, spend an hour exploring the glowing blue chambers, frozen passageways, and even a built-in chapel. It’s an unforgettable way to experience the glacier from the inside—accessible year-round and only a few hours from Reykjavík.

After stepping back into daylight, we’ll stop at Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe. Wooden walkways wind past steaming vents as your guide explains how these high-flowing waters power homes across the region.

Before returning to Reykjavík, we’ll visit two neighboring waterfalls with completely different personalities. Hraunfossar flows gently through ancient lava fields in a series of delicate streams, while Barnafoss crashes through rocky cliffs in a narrow, surging rush. Both offer a calm finale to your four-day adventure.

We will return to Reykjavík in the evening and drop you off at the initial pick-up point or at your hotel.
